Alpha Bridge, parallel processing under MATLAB

Presented software toolbox connects the PC MS Windows 3.1 based MATLAB 4 with a network of AD66 high performance boards. Each board includes one DEC AXP 64 bit RISC processor working on 233 Mhz with additional circuits supporting T4/T8 transputer links, C40 links or T9000 link standards. The Alpha-Bridge starts and controls parallel applications from within MATLAB or SIMULINK. Users can program the parallel Alpha applications, which may use MATLAB and SIMULINK as a programmable high level graphical interface. This significantly reduces the development time and costs of the final parallel application and brings the high-end workstations performance to the standard, PC based, Windows platforms.
